About Us
In 2004, after retiring from an 8-year career as an NFL strong safety, Chad moved back to Medford, and teamed up with a group of friends to form the Cota Athletic Foundation, in an effort to improve the lives of youth athletics in the Rogue Valley. Over the past six years, with the help of businesses and individuals the Chad Cota Athletic Foundation has successfully raised over $500,000 to impact and positively influence kids in our community.
Local standout and Junior at Duke University Kyle Singler joined in two year’s and his feelings is he doesn’t want to wait for the future to give back to his home community. When approached about joining us in our efforts, he said, “Count me in.” With Kyle and Chad teaming up to change our children’s lives, we expect the Cota-Singler Gala Auction Dinner to be more exciting than ever, and with Kids Unlimited and FCA as the event beneficiaries, this event will impact thousands of youth’s lives in our valley every day of the year!!!
Kids Unlimited, children from ages 6 to 18 can access an amazing array of resources ranging from free after‐school education programs and exciting low‐cost summer camps to youth development sport leagues; arts, dance and video classes; entrepreneurial and leadership programs; and Southern Oregon’s only under‐21 nightclub, where youth culture becomes the venue for positive choices about personal behavior. Kids Unlimited serves about 1,000 young people each week with services that span early morning to late at night. Programs are culturally inclusive, offering services that reach a range of young people from diverse racial, social and economic backgrounds, providing opportunities for diversity not found in many semi‐rural U.S. communities.
